How to Leave Windows 10 - s S Mode

How to Leave Windows 10’s S Mode Some PCs, including Microsoft’s Surface Laptop and the Windows on ARM PCs, run “Windows 10 in S Mode.” In S Mode, Windows can only run apps from the Store—but you can leave S Mode in a few clicks. Warning: This is Irreversible! You can’t undo this choice. You’re free to leave S Mode at any time, but you can’t put a PC back into S Mode after leaving it. This is a one-time decision for the life of your PC’s hardware. If you decide you want to use S Mode again after leaving it—well, tough, you’re out of luck until you get a new PC in S Mode. Yes, this is really weird. We don’t know why Microsoft doesn’t offer an undo button, but that’s just how it works. We’ve seen some rumors that Microsoft might place a “Switch to S Mode” option in Windows 10’s Redstone 5 update, allowing anyone to put any PC into S Mode. However, we haven’t seen that option appear, and there hasn’t been any official word from Microsoft—so don’t count on it. For now, you can only get a P...

Switching out of s mode - Microsoft Community

Switching out of s mode I am attempting to switch out of s mode. I have scoured every article within the community and tried every suggested fix. When I access the Microsoft Store (which is upgraded to the most recent version) and go to "switch out of s mode" the button for "Get" is greyed out and advises to contact IT or my system administrator. I am the administrator and I am on a private network, not a domain network. I am at my wits end. This is a known problem, I see others complaining of the same thing, is there a fix coming for this? Am I missing something? Please help! Question Info Replies (4)  Hi Megan, I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 3 year Windows Insider MVP here to help. Chrome search bar automatically uses old search terms I have a problem with my google chrome: When I try to search for a term which starts with a string that I previously searched for, that old search term is automatically used. So, assuming I searched for "foo fighters" last week and today I want to search for "foo", when I press Ctrl-L, type "foo" then my search will be "foo fighters" instead of "foo".
