Spotlight Search is gone from IOS13? Apple Community

Question: Q: Spotlight Search is gone from IOS13 ?

After updating my iPad Pro to IOS13.1, I cannot get the SPotlight Search bar to appear. When I swipe down from the top of the screen, all I see are notifications. Swipe right from the home screen, I see the Today view, but no search bar at the top of the left panel. Any ideas on how I can get that back?

I found the answer in another post. Swipe down from the middle of the home screen to bring up the search bar.

Ok, I finally found it. Middle to me means left / middle / right of the top of the screen. I finally found elsewhere that the center of the screen (not at the top or the bottom) works. Arrrgh. Why was this so hard to grasp?

When I drag down from the upper right I get the widgets. When I drag down from anywhere else I still get the notifications. No spotlight. Thankfully I have a keyboard for my iPad, but I’m just out of luck with my iPhone. Apple how could you do this? It’s maddening.

Can i get to spotlight search without closing the app? It works on iPhone but not on iPad as i see.

When i swipe down from the upper left corner and swipe right i get the widgets PLUS spotlight search on iPhone, do this on iPad and you only get the widgets and NO search bar. Anybody have a solution for this besides returning to the homescreen?

It’s easy. From your home screen start the swipe from the middle of the page. Swipe down. Had me crazy also.

I understand that but i don’t want to go back to my homescreen. Without returning to homescreen it works on iPhone but not on iPad.
